What I do for portfolio companies
Growth Engine Diagnostic. The full version. Two to three weeks, all seven gears examined against your actual pipeline and numbers, and a clear read on which gear will move you forward fastest.
Growth Catalyst Intensive. Four weeks with the founders and leadership team, turning what the founders know about the buyer into a plan the company can run without them in every room.
Fractional CMO. Senior marketing leadership between Series A and a permanent hire, including defining, recruiting, and handing off to the right full-time CMO when the time comes.
And a second opinion before a company spends its round on a marketing leader, an agency, or a rebrand, which is usually the cheapest help I give.
Why healthcare specifically
Healthcare companies sell into buying processes where the user, the buyer, and the payer are different people. Growth playbooks built for software or consumer brands tend to miss that, and the miss is expensive and slow to show up in the numbers.
My background covers both sides of it: six years of marketing at Mayo Clinic, including Vice President of Marketing and Product at Mayo Clinic Laboratories; medical device leadership, including a $250M business unit; and consumer packaged goods at PepsiCo, Sara Lee, and Kimberly-Clark.
How this usually starts
An introduction to a founder whose growth has flattened, or a conversation about where your portfolio tends to get stuck. No charge, and no pressure. If what a company needs is not something I do, I will say so.
